Founded in 2017, Dirty Ducks Racing is the SAE International design team of Stevens Institute of Technology. The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE International) hosts collegiate design series to challenge engineering students with a project that involves skills needed when introducing a new product to the consumer industrial market. These skills are with regards to designing, fabricating, generating financial support, and managing educational priorities. Teams from institutions across the globe compete against each other in a series of grueling events that simulate real-world engineering challenges, which push their vehicles to the limit. Furthermore, their vehicle designs are evaluated and accepted for manufacturability by judges (who represent a fictitious firm). The Dirty Ducks Racing team is currently preparing to participate in the Baja SAE Maryland competition held on April 19-22, 2018 in Mechanicsville, Maryland.
